The Lowdown
Delta-9 THC from THCA
Delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol, or delta-9 THC, is the main psychoactive compound in cannabis. It is responsible for the euphoric, relaxing, and appetite-stimulating effects of cannabis. Delta-9 THC is one of the many cannabinoids found in cannabis plants, along with cannabidiol (CBD), cannabinol (CBN), and others.
Delta-9 THC is produced by the decarboxylation of tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA), which is the most abundant cannabinoid in raw cannabis plants. THCA is converted to delta-9 THC by heat or light exposure, such as when cannabis is smoked, vaporized, or cooked.
All Reefer products contain less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight and are hemp derived classifying them as hemp, according to the 2018 Farm Bill.
