The passage of the Farm Bill in 2014 led to the end of prohibition of hemp and the birth of a new industry. As you’re probably aware, the hemp plant has an unfathomable number of uses and certainly unimagined potential applications.
Once the hemp plant has fully matured and flowered, we remove the flowers by hand and grind them into a powder. This powder is then packaged into a CO2 Extractor, in order to strip the grinded hemp flower of the oils. The oils that are removed include CBD, CBG, terpenes, and flavonoids; among others. While CBD is very beneficial on its own, its effects are synergistic and amplified with the presence of the other cannabidiols, terpenes, and flavonoids. This bulk CBD oil is then distilled in order to further refine the oil and remove unnecessary waxes.
